|
Officers investigating criminal damage to a bus in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It is reported that at around 7.30pm on Friday 23 January 2026, two men wearing black hooded jackets threw a rock at a bus travelling through Holdenhurst Road.
Damage was caused to the windows of the vehicle and no injuries were sustained.
Police Constable James Allcroft-Reid, of Dorset Police, said: “Throwing items at a bus is completely unacceptable and could have serious consequences, resulting in someone being injured.
“Not only do these reckless actions cause a risk to the community, they also impact on the bus company and their ability to safely serve the public.
“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident in Holdenhurst Road and would urge witnesses or anyone with information about who is involved to please come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260010908. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. | ||
